Hello,
We just wanted to drop a note and say we are now on the West Coast, Los Angeles specifically and we’re now

We’d like to announce that we’ve moved from New York to Los Angeles and will be posting our trip over the next couple of weeks. Along the way we’ll be visiting famous and not so famous monuments and we plan to document the trip in photos. Updates should hopefully come on a semi-daily basis depending on internet availability. We’re super excited because on the flip side, we will have a new look and new website! More information to follow, stay tuned!
There’s a great band based in Los Angeles named ‘The Procession’ and I was fortunate enough to take some photos of them. The core of the band is Paul & John both originating from the Metro-Detroit area. They make really great pop music reminiscent of 60’s pop like the Zombies, Beach Boys and Hollies to name a few. Their music can be found HERE. We shot in Griffith Park and around Atwater Village.

Over a year ago my friend Dan contacted me to shoot a gentleman named Adam Franklin for an interview he had done for Tap Op Magazine. The interview was about Adam’s work as part of the band Swervedriver as well as his solo efforts. It was really cool to work in conjunction with my friend Dan and the article has finally come out and it’s really exciting to see this come to fruition. It’s in the latest issue of Tape Op for those interested.

Amanda and I caught the Macy’s fireworks this evening. It was a bit rainy but we had an amazing spot to view them. Here are some of the shots.

Here are a few random shots from over the past weeks. As you might be able to tell, I’m a huge fan of textures and patterns.

Sorry for the ocd moment, I love patterns and shapes. A shot from this weekend:

We were coming home from a wedding late Saturday night and heard this incredible voice echoing through the subway system. For as much as New York can be a complete pain in the butt, there are some amazing things that you’d never experience anywhere else. Music in the subway is one of those things. He had an incredibly powerful and soulful voice and was singing, amongst others, Sam Cooke & Otis Redding. He had one of those voices that just gives you goosebumps when you hear it. It was just him and a disc man trying to make a couple bucks. It made the late night ride home, infinitely more enjoyable. This image has been added to my personal work portfolio under ‘People‘ On a completely unrelated note, I accidently wiped out all of my blog comments, smooth move….

So last night we did our first trial on getting a Portrait Session, aka Photobooth setup, and I think it went pretty well, don’t you think? I am so lucky to have a lovely wife that will patiently model for me. This will be one of our a la carte options for weddings and other events. Contact us for further info.
Till next time,
Matt
